Competent Authority / Professional Body Status

This country is an EAC Partner State but is not currently confirmed as a participating country under the EAC Engineering Mutual Recognition Agreement. The information on this page is provided for general awareness only. Engineers, firms and employers should not rely on this page as an MRA recognition pathway. Official guidance will be updated once accession, competent authority arrangements and implementation procedures are formally confirmed. The Ministry of Public Works, Reconstruction and Housing has an engineers registration page. Professional engineering bodies also exist, including the Institution of Engineers Somalia and the Somali Engineers Association. However, the Engineering MRA implementation pathway should be verified before publishing cross-border recognition guidance.
